Eldorado Springs is a census-designated place located in Boulder County, Colorado. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 557.
Just west of Eldorado Springs is Eldorado Canyon State Park. Eldorado Canyon State Park has technical rock climbing, streamside picnic areas and trails with panoramic vistas -- all encompassed in a magnificant canyon setting. For technical rock climbing, Eldorado Canyon offers over 500 different routes. Climbers from all over the world come to Eldorado Canyon to enjoy some of the best climbing to be found. The beauty of this magnificent canyon -- with its variety of trails and lovely streamside picnic areas -- engages the non-climber, too. Eldorado Canyon offers hiking trails for all abilities, rainbow and brook trout fishing, biking, sightseeing, spectacular views and wildlife.

As of the census of 2000, there are 557 people, 275 households, and 133 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 89.6/km² (232.1/mi²). There are 295 housing units at an average density of 47.5/km² (122.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 94.61% White, 0.72% African American, 0.18% Native American, 1.80% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.90% from other races, and 1.80% from two or more races. 2.87% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 275 households out of which 20.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 39.3% are married couples living together, 5.5% have a female householder with no husband present, and 51.6% are non-families. 38.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.03 and the average family size is 2.74.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 17.2% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 35.5% from 25 to 44, 33.8% from 45 to 64, and 7.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 42 years. For every 100 females there are 108.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 110.5 males.
The median income for a household in the CDP is $48,875, and the median income for a family is $96,823. Males have a median income of $61,625 versus $26,750 for females. The per capita income for the CDP is $42,908. 11.9% of the population and 15.4% of families are below the poverty line.
