Frederick is a town located in Weld County, Colorado. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,467.
Frederick is a small town located along Colorado's Front Range. It is situated between the Town of Firestone and the City of Dacono in southwestern Weld County. Frederick started as a mining camp and was incorporated in 1907. The immigrants who came to settle in this area to work in the coal mines were from Italy, France, Greece, Turkey, the Slavic countries, and Mexico. Frederick remains a close-knit, hard working community.

As of the census of 2000, there are 2,467 people, 852 households, and 684 families residing in the town. The population density is 110.6/km² (286.4/mi²). There are 896 housing units at an average density of 40.2/km² (104.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 87.15% White, 0.57% African American, 1.01% Native American, 0.81% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 8.07% from other races, and 2.39% from two or more races. 20.88% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 852 households out of which 43.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.9% are married couples living together, 7.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 19.7% are non-families. 13.5% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.8% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.90 and the average family size is 3.21.
In the town the population is spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 38.2% from 25 to 44, 18.9% from 45 to 64, and 4.9% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 31 years. For every 100 females there are 100.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 102.1 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $55,324, and the median income for a family is $56,394. Males have a median income of $39,191 versus $28,462 for females.
